Bitter melon helps fight breast cancer

Bitter melon a vegetable known as Karela in India has long been known to be very effective in controlling blood sugar levels. In the March 1 issue of “Cancer Research,” a journal of the American Association for Cancer Research, a study has been published that shows that extracts of Bitter Melon appear to destroy breast cancer cells.

Research conducted at Saint Louis University showed that bitter melon extract not only killed breast cancer cells but also prevented their growth and development. Certain ingredients in the extract acted on chemical pathways responsible for cancer growth. It sent signals that induced breast cancer cells to destroy themselves and prevented them from dividing.

More research is underway and animal and human trials are still to be conducted. Pure Bitter Melon capsules
